Junior: Surpassed the 50 goal mark, few to do so in school history.
Favorite quote: “The difference between impossible and the possible is in a person’s determination.”
Inspiration & the future: Kristen looks up to Abby Wambach & says that her most impactful coach/teacher is her father, Dana Dickison because he always pushes her to be be her best. Her favorite memory of her still young career was scoring the winning goal in overtime in tournament play last year. Kristen aspires to become a college athlete and be graduated from college with a job in 10 years.
Camryn Moeller (Senior)

Volleyball and Track
Highlight: 1st team all American League & 1st team all GWOC. Camryn led the Troy Trojans in kills, digs, and service aces this season and also led the entire GWOC with 314 kills, 3rd overall in service aces, and 5th in digs. Camryn recorded a double/double kill/dig performance 15 times this season; one of those double doubles was against volleyball power, Versailles when she landed 22 kills and 28 digs.
Career: 953.5 career points; 164 service aces, 725 kills, and 129 blocks.
Junior year: Broke the school record for kills (29) in a match vs. Fenwick.
June 2016: Qualified for the state track meet
Favorite quote: “Never, ever, give up.”
Inspiration & the future: Camryn’s inspiration is her brother, “…because he has always been a mentor to me and I’ve always looked up to him.” When it come to her teachers, “Mrs. Lehmkuhl is my most impactful teacher, because she really helped me reach my full potential in the math classroom.” In ten years, Camryn hopes to be married with a stable job & starting a family.
Ellen Peters (Senior) Versailles High School Volleyball, Basketball, and Track Highlight: 54 of the Versailles’ 59 assists in the state championship game. Resume: 1st Team All-MAC, 2nd Team All-District 9, State Champions (2017) Favorite quote: “I’ve never been afraid of big moments. I get nervous and anxious, but I think those are all good signs that I’m ready for the moment.” -Steph Curry Favorite sports memory: “Winning state this year in volleyball” Athletic goals: Ellen wants to make it to state in basketball and track this year as well. Inspiration & the future: Ellen’s inspiration is her older brother, Collin. Coach Bruggeman has been her most impactful coach because of her desire for perfection. “She not only focuses on the win in volleyball, but she focuses on bettering us all as individuals.” In ten years Ellen sees herself graduating from medical school as a dermatologist.
Hunter Stidham (Senior) Valley View High School Basketball and Volleyball Resume: Southwestern Buckeye League Player of the Year, 1st Team All-League / District Favorite quote: “Don’t be afraid of failure. This is the way to succeed.” -Lebron James Favorite sports memory: “Playing with my sister when I was a freshman and playing in the District Championship game.” Athletic goals: Hunter wants to win Districts, Regionals, and make it to State. Inspiration & the future: Hunter looks up to her older sister, Alexis. Her dad has also impacted her the most because he has pushed her to be a better player and person. In ten years she sees herself as a second grade teacher.
Lauren Hapgood (Junior) Oakwood High School Basketball and Golf Success: 4th in scoring in the SWBL conference & three 20+ point games Resume: First Team All-Southwestern Buckeye League, District 15 Underclassman Award, AP District Honorable Mention Favorite quote: “You can make all the excuses you want, but if you’re not mentally tough and you’re not prepared to play every night, you’re not going to win.” – Larry Bird Favorite sports memory: “Our first tournament game my freshman year.” Athletic goals: Lauren wants to further her basketball career in college. Inspiration & the future: Lauren’s inspiration is her mother and has been since she was little. In ten years she hopes to be a Biomedical Researcher or a Pharmacist.
Ben Schmiesing (Senior) Piqua High School Football and Basketball Success: Leading the GWOC in rebounds & started the season with 5 double double performances. Ohio State University Linebacker Commit Resume: Football: 2x 1st Team All Conference, 1st Team All District, 1st Team All Ohio, GWOC North Defensive Player of the Year Basketball: 2nd Team All GWOC and Team MVP Favorite quote: “Practice doesn’t make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.” Favorite sports memory: “Winning 2 playoff games my sophomore year for basketball, the first time in 20 years that we’ve won a playoff game” Athletic goals: “Be a preferred walk-on at Ohio State and work my way up to some playing time.” Most impactful teacher / coach: “Coach Nees because he’s formed me into the best athlete I can be.” Inspiration & the future: Ben’s inspiration is his older brother Jack Schmiesing. In 10 years he sees himself with a good job that will allow him to buy a house and start his life outside of sports.
